During discussions today a friend and I came to the conclusion that the art movement known as Mid-Century Modernism (my favorite) has almost no pretentiousness to be found within. My explination was long, drawn out, and something rather Harold Bloom-ish.

I’m sitting here now, close to 1am. Outside it’s cold as hell, a rare California freezer of a night. Clear sky though, I can see hundreds of stars, another rarity. I took a step outside to mentally recharge after almost three sold hours of writing.
